Accessibility

The requirement for all Australian Government agencies is that they ensure the information and services are provided in a non-discriminatory accessible manner. The aim is to make government based websites easy to use and accessible.

We have developed the ASIC Regulatory Portal in accordance with the current Australian government standard of Level A of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.0. In doing this, we aim to make this site accessible and easy for you to use. This includes:

  • designing pages so that screen readers can easily read them
  • inserting a 'skip to content' link at the top of the page, which allows screen readers to skip navigational elements and go straight to the text
  • providing text equivalents ('alt tags') for images
  • providing transcripts or captions for video files.
